The South African Women in the USA and Canada (SAWITU) weekend was a roaring success. A highlight event was the Tannies Tea held in Centennial Park in Nashville, which concluded the line-up of activities.

The recent Braai Day held in Maryland to celebrate Freedom Day was a huge success, with about 200 South Africans attending the event. Ambassador Mrs Nomaindiya Mfeketo and her team formed part of the day’s program and the ambassador used the opportunity to introduce her team to everyone present.

Renowned Pan-African poet, praise singer, philanthropist, musician and businesswoman Bishop Jessica Mbangeni knew from a young age that she wanted to be a force for change.
