Saffas unite in Maryland

The recent Braai Day held in Maryland to celebrate Freedom Day was a huge success, with about 200 South Africans attending the event. Ambassador Mrs Nomaindiya Mfeketo and her team formed part of the day’s program and the ambassador used the opportunity to introduce her team to everyone present. The fires were lit and food stalls, with a chicken braai and pap, as well as the Indian stall, were crowd favourites. It was the first gathering of Saffas since Covid-19 hit and everyone enjoyed the networking with fellow ex-pats. The event was organised by Fatima Ncube who is part of the group SA Expats in Maryland.
