‘Malibongwe,’ meaning ‘Let us praise’ in isiZulu, was the theme for this year’s prestigious South African Women’s Day event which was hosted by Shared Interest and held at the SA Embassy in Washington. The theme resonated deeply as everyone gathered to celebrate the accomplishments and potential of South African women. The South African Chamber of Commerce in the USA (SACCUSA) was honoured to participate in the prestigious event where women who made an indelible mark on history, and continue to inspire, were recognised as part of the drive to promote women empowerment. SACCUSA reaffirmed its commitment to promoting empowerment and equity. “We recognise that the empowerment of women is not only a moral imperative but also a catalyst for societal growth and progress,” said President of SACCUSA, Neil Diamond. Shared Interest played a pivotal role in fostering this event and the company continues its dedication to advance the growth and development of African women entrepreneurs.
