South Africans in Idaho

Saffas in Idaho recently held a lovely get-together at The Farmhouse in Surprise Valley. The original group of Saffas who started the regular events goes back to the 1980s. Participation has slowly grown over the years as more South Africans moved to Idaho and, at present, the database is 150 strong. Organiser, RoseMarie Frost says the bring-and-braai event at Farmhouse was a huge success and, with everyone adding a dish to share, another great day filled with stories and laughter was celebrated. Saffas in the group come from all parts of South Africa and a few Zimbabweans have also joined in. Most of them moved due to work- related reasons while others followed children who moved overseas.
