Fumana shines at the Emmy Awards

Fumana International has done it again! Moira and Gretchen Henkel were both honoured and surprised when they were recently invited to showcase some of SA’s best wines at the Southeast Emmy Awards event, a division of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

The Emmy’s bring accolades to members of the media who have excelled in journalism, covering the major stories in the Southeast Emmy chapter which covers Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, South Carolina, and Asheville and North Carolina. 11Alive ran away with the most Southeast Emmy Awards. The NBC affiliate pocketed 20 wins, including overall excellence, morning newscast and journalistic enterprise. Moira says their involvement emanated from a social event where reality show actor and international man of style, Dwight Eubanks loved their wines so much that he introduced them to the Emmy’s Chair. The wines they served received many compliments and they were subsequently invited to have their wines included on the wine menu for the Emmys Awards.

The event, held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Atlanta, was attended by A-listers and Moira says it was great to rub shoulders with the many anchors and television news journalists whom one often only gets to see on the telly. “We were super excited to serve our own new Fumana label which has just been launched. Everyone loved it!” The Fumana International team is currently busy with a marketing tour to introduce the Gretchen Wine label to the market. “Hard work always pays off. It has been a beautiful ride and a spiritual journey for us to believe in what we do,” Moira told Saffa Mag.
