The evergreen sounds of Mama Mirriam Makeba’s click song have the ability to change the mood, get the feet tapping and the bodies moving!

This is exactly what happened when Freedom Day was celebrated in April at an event held at Studio 135ATL in Atlanta. The South African Chamber of Commerce in the USA (SACCUSA) joined hands with Vastrap Sokkie and Saffa Mag with a fun-day filled with entertainment, goodies to buy and a braai to round it off.

In the market area, Saffas were able to buy anything from biltong to koeksisters, African arts, crafts and bead work from Ruth’s Africa Beads. There were plenty of SA wines and beer available from Fumana International, South African Emporium, Wine and More Reimagined, AfriDaisy and Sue’s Biltong & Braai.
