The Consul General’s Cultural Centre is designed to give a glimpse into South Africa’s history and to share its past with the American people.

As part of Freedom Day celebrations, the Consul General showcased an exhibition of original photos signed by the late Archbishop Desmond Tutu.

The exhibition depicted photos of the Arch Tutu the ‘person’ and rarely seen photos. In one of the photos Tutu is enjoying his favourite chocolate milkshake at Food Lover’s Market.

There are also photos of the Archbishop with the Dalai Lama and late President Nelson Mandela. SACCUSA has partnered with the consulate to take the exhibition to other cities in the USA.
