The recent Braai Day held in Maryland to celebrate Freedom Day was a huge success, with about 200 South Africans attending the event. Ambassador Mrs Nomaindiya Mfeketo and her team formed part of the day’s program and the ambassador used the opportunity to introduce her team to everyone present.
Consul office closure discussed with ambassador
The recent announcement by the Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO) to close the SA Chicago Consulate in December 2021 sparked SACCUSA to address the issue with the SA Ambassador, Ms Nomaindiya Mefeketo.
