SACCUSA President acknowledges African American diaspora’s role in strengthening AGOA

The South African Chamber of Commerce United States of America (SACCUSA) President, Mr Neil Diamond, addressed the Annual National Black Business Conference in the USA, underscoring the profound significance of the African American Diaspora’s support in upholding South Africa’s participation in AGOA (African Growth and Opportunity Act).

AGOA remains a cornerstone of economic collaboration between the United States and sub-Saharan African nations, fostering job creation and sustainable growth. Mr Neil Diamond emphasised the critical role black businesses play as a powerful lobby group and key partners in Africa’s economic advancement. AGOA’s positive impact on South Africa’s economic diversification and industry growth cannot be overstated.

The unity of purpose showcased by the National Black Business Council amplifies the voices of those who benefit from this partnership, showcasing the boundless potential of collaboration. Together, the African American Diaspora, SACCUSA, and AGOA illuminate the path toward prosperity not only for South Africa but also for the wider African continent. It has become a tradition for Friends of South Africa (FoSA) Nashville to compete in the city’s annual Cumberland River Dragon boat races. This year FoSA entered two boats, The Vuvuzela Sharks and the Vuvuzela Sparks, with a total of 40 paddlers and two drummers dressed in our best zebra attire.
