SACCUSA President acknowledges African American diaspora’s role in strengthening AGOA

In a significant move towards enhancing bi-national trade between the United States and Southern African Development Community (SADC) nations, SACCUSA met with various SADC ambassadors. SACCUSA President Neil Diamond discussed the establishment of a regional business organisation in the US with Her Excellency Esme Chomba (Malawi), His Excellency Chibamba Kanyama (Zambia), and His Excellency Tadeous Chifamba (Zimbabwe).

The discussions focused on uniting SADC businesses into one organized business body to promote investments, and deepen collaboration among companies operating in the U.S. Discussions included promoting U.S. investments in SADC countries, building cohesive business networks, and addressing economic challenges collectively. The meetings exemplified a spirit of unity and shared goals, highlighting the commitment to harnessing collective strengths for the benefit of the SADC business community in the U.S. These discussions are pivotal steps towards fostering regional economic development and bi-national trade.

Actions to fulfil the vision of the group, such as business forums and investment seminars have been planned to promote economic growth and a lasting partnership.

It has become a tradition for Friends of South Africa (FoSA) Nashville to compete in the city’s annual Cumberland River Dragon boat races. This year FoSA entered two boats, The Vuvuzela Sharks and the Vuvuzela Sparks, with a total of 40 paddlers and two drummers dressed in our best zebra attire.
