Save the date for the SA Heritage Festival

Lowfeld Soul Food will be holding the inaugural Charleston South African Festival, with special guests, Die Campbells, on September 22 and 23. The two-day event will feature delicious food and entertaining music and, most importantly, will give people an opportunity to connect with new and old friends. There will also be a host of other fun activities for the whole family. The festival will be held on the gorgeous Lowfeld Soul Food property, just outside Charleston (Awendaw), South Carolina.

Friday Evening - 3pm

A “Bring-And-Share” evening, where potjiekos lovers are encouraged to show their skills and compete in the potjie competition. Potjiekos experts will be on hand to judge the skills, recipes, texture, and taste of each entry. Food to be served by 6pm.

Saturday - 11am onward

There will be a traditional South African Braai on Saturday night, including lamb chops, boerewors, and chicken. Basic salads will be provided. Everyone is asked to bring a sharable salad or dessert for Saturday evening.

• Adults: $50 per person,
• Children: $30 per child, ages 6 – 12,
• Children Under 6: Free
• Show Only (no meal): $30 Prices include the cost of Die Campbells show.

This cooperative endeavour aims to promote trade between Southern African countries, including Zimbabwe, and the United States.
