Dance, dance and dance some more

In Lorton Virginia, Saffas had their dancing shoes on when they recently celebrated Heritage Day. There was plenty to eat, but for new Saffa friends, it was a wonderful opportunity to mingle and share their love of SA traditions. And what can Saffas do well? They can dance. There are plenty of videos which speak for themselves.

The event was organised by the South African Network led by Fa-eek Abrahams and a very supportive team. Fa-eek told Saffa Mag: “Covid isolated everyone and with our ‘Heritage Braai Day’ Saffas came out in their hundreds to reunite, celebrate, braai, dance, network and just enjoy plenty of finger licking delicious South African food. We need to find local SA entertainers to add more flavour next year. Big thanks to all who came out from near and far.”

Saffa, Yvette Baleta-Nackerdien, had this to say about the event: “It was an amazing day! We had so much fun! Fa-eek was a great MC, bringing the fun and good vibes! Thanks to everyone who worked hard to make this day the great success it was!”
