Latino organisation meets with SACCUSA

Vice President of SACCUSA, Magda Odendaal, recently met with the leadership of Association of Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA) in Buford, GA.

Magda is well-known in international leadership development circles and has 23 years of international experience in the arena. ALPFA is a national non-profit organization created in 1972 and focuses on providing professional development workshops and career resources to its members in order to empower and develop Latino leaders for the nation.

ALPFA provides members with scholarships, career fairs, networking events and mentorship opportunities. The organisation currently has over 92,000 professional and student members across the country.

There are 160 active professional chapters and 45 student chapters. SACCUSA is currently looking at future endeavours with the group.

Dragon boat race fun!

It has become a tradition for Friends of South Africa (FoSA) Nashville to compete in the city’s annual Cumberland River Dragon boat races. This year FoSA entered two boats, The Vuvuzela Sharks and the Vuvuzela Sparks, with a total of 40 paddlers and two drummers dressed in our best zebra attire.
